Junk to Funk

The Portland based Junk to Funk® is unique in combining visual and performance art, fashion, sustainability education, interactive activities and entertainment. Their focus of using "Trashion" in various programs and events provides people an opportunity to connect, conceptualize and receive art in a creatively re-used form. In January 2009, I worked with founder Lindsey Newkirk, as a volunteer to help coordinate the stage design for the Junk to Funk Trashion Show in mid November of 2009. Later I consulted for Lindsey to help her grow marketing efforts and sponsorship opportunities.
